QUEBEC 4-H CLUBS

Quebec 4-H Clubs Inc. is an organization that was founded in 1942 by the Quebec Forestry Association. Indeed, this association quickly realized that it could more effectively accomplish its mission of educating the population about the protection and conservation of natural resources by involving young people in its work. 4-H Clubs have remained true to their forestry origins. However, they did not hesitate to broaden their field of action to the environment and the natural sciences in order to meet the needs of Quebec society. Le Mouvement 4-H is a Quebec youth organization that works to conserve trees, forests and the environment as a whole. Oriented towards scientific leisure, its primary goal is to develop in young people an active interest in the conservation and improvement of the quality of the environment. The motto presents its members with four values that they must strive to develop, both through their actions within the 4-H Movement and through their daily activities. These 4 values are: H – Honour in deeds; H – Honesty in means; H – Skill in work; H – Humanity in behaviour.
